Tier 2 Korean Automotive Supplier lands in Tallassee

ECEDA and the City of Tallassee announced that Uni-Tech, a Tier 2 automotive supplier has agreed to lease a local building for their operations.  Uni-Tech services Tier One suppliers of Hyundai’s assembly plant in Montgomery.  The company will occupy a 12,000 square foot manufacturing building in Tallassee for its office and manufacturing process.

Uni-Tech has contracts with existing Hyundai suppliers in Eufaula, Shorter, Enterprise, Tyson, and Greenville and they plan to pursue contracts with KIA suppliers that locate in the area.

On the date of the announcement, Jeong-Sik Choi, owner of Uni-Tech said, “We needed to move closer to our current and future clients.  Elmore County and Tallassee offer an excellent central location and we are happy to have found a building here.”  Uni-Tech thanked the Elmore County Economic Development Authority, the City of Tallassee, and the Elmore County Commission for their all of their assistance.
