Quality of Life

Elmore County, Alabama, has a rich history of being a predominantly agricultural area, but in recent years, it has started to make the transformation to the one of the fastest-growing counties in the state. From 2004-2007, 1,110 jobs were created within the county.

Elmore County offers the best of both worlds to individuals settling here: small towns with high-quality education, low-crime rates, and low-cost of living, next to a major metropolis in Montgomery.

Elmore County is fortunate to have a mild, year-round climate with plenty of outdoor and recreational opportunities. There are parks complete with tennis courts, baseball fields, softball, soccer and children's playgrounds.

Elmore County is home to 2 lakes, Lake Martin and Lake Jordan and the Coosa and Alabama River. Together, they add up to 36 square miles of water, ready for recreational activities!

Educational opportunities abound, including Primary/Secondary and Post-Secondary options. There are also excellent healthcare options.

Companies moving to Elmore County can be sure they will find a capable, experienced workforce to meet their needs, while individuals know they will find a place they can belong.
