Friends of the Wetumpka Library (FOWL) is pleased to announce its 15th annual Murder on the Menu fundraiser on Sunday, February 24, 2022, at the Wetumpka Civic Center starting at 12:30 p.m.

Murder on the Menu is a yearly fundraiser that has developed into a highly anticipated event featuring a variety of top-notch mystery authors from around the country. Participants are seated at small round tables to have a delicious lunch and to chat with an author that will join them at their table. During the afternoon our authors will participate in panel discussions about mystery writing, as well as rotating to visit several tables personally. Books will be available for purchase, and the authors are happy to autograph.
Two of our guest authors this year are #1 New York Times bestselling author & TV producer Lee Goldberg and prolific author and motivational speaker Sue Ann Jaffarian. Both Lee and Sue Ann are delightfully funny people and we’re sure this will be a day to remember!

This event is planned the day after a similar event in Birmingham called Murder in the Magic City. By the time the authors arrive in Wetumpka they have already had a blast getting to know each other and enjoying Southern hospitality. Wetumpka always gets rave reviews from the authors about the beauty of the town and the friendliness and interest of the folks that attend the event (which is usually almost always sold out).
Registration cost is $40 a person which includes a nice catered lunch. Register now at the library or visit the library website to download a registration form if you wish to mail in your fee. PayPal instructions are also included on the website.
