ECEDA to Host Alabama Kayak Fishing State Tournament in Wetumpka

The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) is hosting the Alabama Kayak Fishing State Championship on the Coosa River this Saturday, October 15th.
Approximately 80 kayakers from across the State qualified and will be in Elmore County to compete for cash and prizes.
The boundaries of the tournament include Lake Jordan to the confluence of the Coosa and Tallapoosa Rivers at Ft. Toulouse. Kayaks will launch from any public access on Lake Jordan or the Coosa River. The Tournament will begin at first safe light, with the weigh-in and awards ceremony taking place at 4:00 pm in the rear parking lot at the Wetumpka Administration Building (408 S Main Street Wetumpka, AL 36092).

These are the best kayak fishermen in the State and we are excited that they get to experience our superior fishing. We hope they choose to come back to Elmore County many more times.”
