ECEDA to Host Alabama Kayak Fishing State Tournament in Wetumpka

Approximately 80 kayakers from across the State qualified and will be in Elmore County to compete for cash and prizes.

The boundaries of the tournament include Lake Jordan to the confluence of the Coosa and Tallapoosa Rivers at Ft. Toulouse. Kayaks will launch from any public access on Lake Jordan or the Coosa River. The Tournament will begin at first safe light, with the weigh-in and awards ceremony taking place at 4:00 pm in the rear parking lot at the Wetumpka Administration Building (408 S Main Street Wetumpka, AL 36092).

“Elmore County is honored to partner with Alabama Kayak Fishing once again,” said Troy Stubbs, Chairman of the Elmore County Commission. “Congratulations to these anglers for qualifying to participate in this prestigious event. These are the best kayak fishermen in the State and we are excited that they get to experience our superior fishing. We hope they choose to come back to Elmore County many more times.”
