Business Spotlight: Kingdom Dough: Where Faith, Family, and Fresh Donuts Come Together
If you’re searching for more than just your typical breakfast spot, Kingdom Dough offers something truly special. Nestled at 2880 Main Street in Millbrook, Alabama, this family-owned donut shop is as much a community gathering place as it is a haven for pastry lovers.
Since opening its doors in 2020, Kingdom Dough has become known not only for its fresh, made-to-order donuts and hearty breakfast options but also for its warm, welcoming atmosphere rooted in faith and family.
Kingdom Dough is the vision of Jeremy and Kimberly Powers, a local couple raising four children and building their business around their belief in God and service to the community. Jeremy, a local pastor, brings his ministry into the heart of the shop, where a prayer tree invites visitors to leave personal prayer requests. These prayers are then thoughtfully prayed over by Jeremy and the staff, adding a deep personal and spiritual touch to every visit.
The Powers have designed Kingdom Dough to be a family-friendly destination. One of their most beloved features is a fun and interactive coloring activity for kids. Children can pick up coloring pages in the shop, and once theyโve completed their masterpieces, they can trade them in for a free donut.
But it doesnโt stop there; this summer, one of the submitted coloring pages will be chosen as inspiration for a special donut creation, which will be featured in the shop for all to enjoy. It’s just another way the Powers are blending creativity, community, and connection.
While donuts are certainly the stars at Kingdom Dough, often featuring unique and playful flavors dreamed up by Jeremy and Kimberly, the shop also offers a range of hot breakfast items to satisfy early-morning appetites.
Whether you’re grabbing a bite before work or treating your kids to a fun morning outing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Kingdom Dough.
Kingdom Dough is open several mornings each week, but be sure to arrive earlyโthey often sell out!
