In Elmore County, community strength starts at home. “ECFRC is not just a resource, it is a place where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to keep going,” said Chrissy Boshell, Executive Director of ECFRC.

A big part of that impact comes from connection. Families, local agencies, schools, and businesses are brought together to tackle challenges as a community. That kind of collaboration does not just help individuals; it strengthens the local workforce and supports long-term economic growth across Elmore County.

“Everything we do at ECFRC is about supporting people and strengthening our community. We work hard to be a consistent, reliable partner, walking alongside families, agencies, and businesses to help create real, lasting impact,” said Boshell.

It might look like someone sitting down one-on-one to map out next steps, receiving guidance during a difficult season, or getting connected to resources that make a meaningful difference. Job readiness and workforce development programs help individuals build confidence and develop skills that lead to steady employment and long-term stability.

At the same time, ECFRC focuses on the bigger picture, because a stable workforce starts with stable families.

Parenting classes help caregivers create supportive home environments. School-based programs encourage young people to make positive choices. Safe Sleep education equips new and expecting parents with tools to keep their infants safe. Programs like FACT (Family Assistance Through Community Ties) walk alongside families facing more complex challenges, helping them build stronger relationships and a more secure future.
