ECEDA and City of Wetumpka to Host Alabama Bass Federation Junior/High School Qualifying Tournament

WETUMPKA/ELMORE COUNTY – The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) and the City of Wetumpka are hosting the Alabama Bass Federation Junior/High School Qualifying Tournament this weekend on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Anglers from all over the State and 80 boats are expected to participate on Lake Jordan.

Elmore County Commission Chairman Bart Mercer said, “We are excited that Elmore County is partnering in this event and that these student anglers can enjoy beautiful Lake Jordan. We wish all of these anglers a safe and productive tournament.”

Jerry Willis, Mayor of Wetumpka, said “We are thrilled to share “The City of Natural Beauty” with these young anglers and their families. We welcome them to Wetumpka and hope they enjoy their time here.”

Boats will launch from the State Ramp on Saturday at first safe light. The weigh-in and awards ceremony will be on Saturday at 3:00 PM at the State Ramp.
