Elmore County Economic Development Authority to Host Alabama Crappie Masters
ELMORE COUNTY, AL – The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) is hosting the Alabama Crappie Masters (ACM) tournament this weekend on Saturday, January 14. Approximately 30 two-person teams from all over the country will compete on the Alabama River. Weigh-in and awards ceremony will be held at Cooter’s Pond Park in Prattville starting at 2:30 pm on Saturday. Teams will be competing for cash prizes, big fish prize, and qualifying points for the State Championship. This weekend’s tournament is one of two ACM events that ECEDA will host this year.
Elmore County Commission Chairman Bart Mercer said, “We’re excited that Elmore County was chosen for this inaugural event and that these anglers can enjoy our beautiful Alabama River. I wish all participants a safe and fun weekend and look forward to seeing them again on their next trip to Elmore County.”
