The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) is proud to recognize and celebrate the contributions of active-duty service members, veterans, and military families who strengthen both the local economy and the fabric of the community.

With Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex just minutes away, Elmore County has long held a strong connection to the military. Many residents are veterans or currently serve in the armed forces, and their presence supports workforce development, civic engagement, and long-term investment in the region.

โ€œWe deeply value the dedication and sacrifice of our military community,โ€ said Lisa Van Wagner, Executive Director of ECEDA. โ€œTheir impact goes beyond service, they bring leadership, innovation, and stability to Elmore County, and we are honored to support them in every way we can.โ€

“Elmore County wouldnโ€™t be what it is today without the influence and presence of our military families,” said Van Wagner. “Weโ€™re proud to be a community where those who serve feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated.”

Each year, Elmore County communities host events such as wreath-laying ceremonies, and appreciation events to honor local service members. ECEDA encourages local leaders and residents to continue supporting these efforts, which help strengthen the ties between civilians and the military community.

As Elmore County continues to grow, ECEDA remains committed to supporting those who serve, on base, in uniform, and beyond, by fostering partnerships that create opportunity and build lasting connections.
