Elmore County Economic Development Authority Hosts Alabama Crappie Trail State Championship

ELMORE COUNTY, AL – The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) is hosting the inaugural Alabama Crappie Trail (ACT) State Championship on Friday, June 9^th, and Saturday, June 10^th. Approximately 30 two-person teams from all over the Southeastern U.S. will compete on the Alabama River and Lake Jordan. Boats can launch from any public ramp. Weigh-ins will be held at Wetumpka High School starting at 2:00 pm each day. The awards ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, including $2,500 to the points champion. The public is invited to attend all events.

I wish all participants a safe tournament and look forward to seeing them in Elmore County again next season”, said Elmore County Commission Chairman Bart Mercer.
