ECEDA to host State Championship Tournament for Alabama Bass Federation High School Anglers

ELMORE COUNTY –The excitement is building as the Alabama Bass Federation State Championship for High School Anglers makes its way to the Alabama River at Cooter’s Pond this Saturday, April 5th. Hosted by ECEDA, this tournament will bring together the best young anglers from across the state for a thrilling day of competitive fishing.

Tournament Details:

  • Expecting 90-100 boats filled with high school anglers, each boat carrying two student-anglers and one adult captain.
  • Pre-fishing kicks off on Friday, April 4th, allowing participants to scout the waters and prepare for the big day.
  • The Rules Meeting will take place Friday evening at Bass Pro Shops, ensuring all teams are ready for fair and competitive play.
  • Launch from Cooter’s Pond will happen at first safe light on Saturday morning, setting the stage for an action-packed day on the water.
  • Weigh-in starts at 1:30 PM at Cooter’s Pond, with an awards ceremony to follow between 3:30 – 4:00 PM.
