Elmore County Technical Center (ECTC)
The ECTC has varied programs for students in grades 10-12 including dual enrollment with Central Alabama Community College. With top-notch programs and dedicated staff, the ECTC has become a driving factor in the workforce of Elmore County.
ECTC offers a new, $7 million, state-of-the-art facility that houses the Welding, HVAC, Plumbing & Pipefitting, Construction, Electrical, Public Safety & Law, Medical Sciences, and Aviation programs.
RECREATION
YMCA and 17 Springs
17 Springs is on a clear path to becoming the top recreational and outdoor tourism venue in the state of Alabama, serving as a catalyst for “next-level” sports and event experiences across Central Alabama. With event bookings already extending into 2026 and 2027, the future of 17 Springs is bright and bustling.
Since the opening of Phase I in 2023, 17 Springs has hosted numerous soccer, tennis, and pickleball tournaments, attracting athletes and visitors from all over the region. Many more events are scheduled over the next several years, with the Grandview YMCA continuing to oversee event scheduling and coordination.
Wetumpka Sports Complex
A well-balanced grouping of outdoor games and facilities offering a wide range of activities including catch and release fishing ponds, archery range, baseball fields, softball fields, and a state-of-the-art football stadium featuring a college-level track. Several soccer fields and tennis courts in the works.
