Richie Beyer Named COO for ECEDA

WETUMPKA, AL –The Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) is pleased to announce enhanced priorities and new staff to better focus on the priorities that will help grow the county’s economy. These efforts are rooted in improving not only economic growth but also the overall quality of life for citizens and visitors throughout the county.

Since its inception, ECEDA has worked to help businesses and industries provide skilled, reliable jobs in our county. For nearly twenty-five (25) years, ECEDA has evolved to meet the needs of our communities and better the quality of life for our citizens. One way we have strived to achieve this is by working to draw visitors to our county to take advantage of our natural resources, and through the vision of our partners over the past 6 years, a focus on sports recreation venues throughout the county. ECEDA will coordinate with our local governments to maximize these resources and harness the revenue from the increase in tourism that will come to our county.

Starting in August, ECEDA will enhance its capabilities by welcoming Richie Beyer as our Chief Operations Officer (COO). Beyer has served in local government for thirty (30) years, including the last twenty-two (22) years as first the Elmore County Engineer and then the County’s COO.

His skill set and work at the local, state, and national level will translate well as we continue to work to achieve the priorities of our organization, as well as enhance the quality of life for our residents and those who visit our wonderful county. Richie will join our Executive Director Lisa Van Wagner to lead ECEDA in the next phase of the success of our organization,” stated ECEDA Chairman Art Faulkner.
